Anna has been serving with YWAM since her DTS in 2013 in Kona Hawaï . She is a talented worship leader, loves discipling young women and has a heart to see God’s presence come, especially in the hard and dark places. She is passionate about working with marginalized children and seeing families restored. For several years she poured her love into the townships in South Africa and took point in community development projects that invest in the lives of young girls and children. Anna developed her leadership by staffing a DTS and took a course in play-therapy focused on traumatized children. In 2018 she moved to YWAM Biarritz in France and lead the worship team and carried administrative responsibilities. (picture Anna next to it)
Gerard has been serving with YWAM since his DTS in 2008 in Perth Australia where he joined staff in 2009. In 2010 the Lord called him onto a team that pioneered and developed YWAM Biarritz; a young and vibrant discipling community in the South of France. During his time in Biarritz Gerard was involved in staffing DTS, serving in the supportive ministries and was on the base leadership team for 5 years. From 2015-2018 Gerard was part of laying the groundwork for the coordinating efforts that YWAM Biarritz spearheaded as part of YWAM’s broader response to the refugee-crisis in Europe and in the Middle-East. He is still passionate about mobilizing workers for these initiatives. He loves staff development and seeing people restored in their identity to be able to know God, see themselves rightly and discover their purpose in the Kingdom. Internationally Gerard is involved in leadership development and discipleship. He has a huge heart for working with refugees and coordinating relief in places of conflict. He teaches in YWAM’s training programs and loves discipling young men. (Picture Gerard next to it)
Anna & Gerard got engaged in November 2018 and it was during that season that God spoke about an upcoming transition and new vision for the both of them. In March 2019 Anna & Gerard got married and in May 2019 they started their transition from YWAM Biarritz to YWAM Kona (HI) where they now serve. Over the years they have done further training with YWAM in the University of the Nations (UofN). Anna completed a Children At Risk school and Gerard has completed a Primary Healthcare school. Both are training programs the UofN offers which enabled us to further develop our skills and passions to see the marginalized and needy reached and empowered by engaging them with God’s heart and a biblical worldview.
